JENSEN RESPONDS TO CONCERNS AROUND NEOCLOUD FINANCING: "Everything else will get solved when demand is high. You can't solve the absence of demand. But when demand is high, everything else will get taken care of. I am quite confident that they will find solutions. Their solution starts with the fact that they have excellent customers. Demand is really high and they just need working capital, and working capital will come.” $NBIS $CRWV $IREN $CIFR $APLD

Rather than simply doubling existing shares, Meta will issue one new publicly traded, non-voting Class C share for every existing Class A or Class B share. This means shareholders will receive an additional share without changing their voting power. This also means Meta will likely do an equity raise, but if they can continue putting up numbers like this, the street will have to digest it. Mark Zuckerberg: "We hit major milestones this quarter toward delivering personal superintelligence for everyone - including launching Muse and Muse Wonder, our first frontier model. Our investments are paying off, the core business is strong, and we're seeing velocity across the board."
so $SPCX obviously blew the doors out with those earnings especially if Elon gets anywhere close to his goal of bringing 20GW online by next year the question now seems to be what this means for every other neocloud SpaceX is up today, the rest are flat to red. On one hand, $SPCX proved how important the neocloud business model is and how much demand is out there. On the other hand, $SPCX was so good that now people are doubting the ability for other neoclouds to easily finance their operations, how quickly those companies can bring compute online compared to Elon, and how much debt/dilution SpaceX themselves will have to take on to finance that buildout which then begs the question around how much dilution the smaller players will have to take on. SpaceX is also profitable whereas the others are years from profitability. My take is more that $SPCX has validated the entire concept of neoclouds which obviously have been under stress given the $CRWV bonds getting hit over the past two weeks, but the earnings were also so good that there might be more questions now about how well the others can execute. The broader theme seemed to be legitimized from those earnings: the compute constraints exist and have not eased up in any meaningful way.

Ready to launchI have been psychologically short $NFLX for years and believe this year has vindicated that psychological short. Unfortunately I was way too much of a chicken to actually short/buy puts 😂 In all seriousness, my bear case has always been that they cannot keep up content spend to justify their growth without massive hits. The massive hits have faded away which has significantly hurt the type of subscriber/adgrowth needed for the stock to expand from its premium multiple. YouTube’s algorithm was another bear case. How does Netflix compete with a creator economy that is growing rapidly without spending even more money? The move to buy Warner Bros, live sports, podcasting…all of it was to hide that they just don’t have the massive hits needed to keep growing. HOWEVER…at some point, the company becomes too cheap. Valuation is 5 year low and they are buying back a ton of stock. I genuinely don’t see how they get back to massive growth again without a MAJOR hit like Squid Games…all the ads/NFL/videogames/buybacks in the world won’t get the street excited without hits. But I wonder if the margin of safety has finally gotten to the point where their most is being meaningfully discounted (I do think they have a large moat with huge barriers to entry) and if the stock price is officially reflecting that. Are you buying the dip? $NFLX -5%
